Take Your First Demo Course in Learner View

This is a tutorial for getting started with MOOCit.

Hi there, and welcome to MOOCit!

In this tutorial we will show you how to access the Demonstration / Tutorial course in your Studio Account from the LMS. Here you can take the course as a learner.

Step 1

Log in to Studio using the the URL / email and password sent to you.

Check your inbox for [e-mail], you should have received an email that said your MOOCit account is activated.

If you cannot find your account details please contact support @ [e-mail]

Step 2

Under Courses, select your Demonstration Course by clicking on the course name.

For new users, there should only be 1 course available under 'Courses' which will read '<Your Company Name>: Demonstration / Tutorial Course'

Step 3

You will arrive on the Course Outline page for the Demonstration / Tutorial course. This is where course authors build the outline of their courses. We will cover course outline in more details later! Be patient 😉

From here, select View Live to go to the Learner View of the course (LMS).

Select 'View Live'

This is going to upon up a new window in your browser, you are now in the LMS of your course!

Step 4

You should arrive in the Course Outline in the LMS, where you can select 'Start Course' to start taking the first lesson.

Select Start Course

If you arrive on the Course Outline, skip to step 5.

If you arrive in a different part of the LMS, follow the steps below.

If you arrive in a different part of the LMS.....

If you arrive on the LMS dashboard, simple select the Demo Course, then select Start Course.

If you arrive inside of the course, on a Unit / Course page, select the course name in the header menu. And then select 'Start Course'.

If you arrive at the log-in page of MOOCit LMS, simple use your MOOCit identifiers (email and password) to log in. Then select the course, then select 'Start Course'.

Step 5

Congratulations, you are now viewing the live version of your MOOCit Demo Course!

Click Next to advance through the course units and learn about the features of MOOCit Studio. This studio will show you examples of different types of components you can add to your course including quizzes, videos, text, PDFs, and more.
