# Reset Learner Exercise Attempts

How to reset learner attempts

## Remove the status of a learner for a specific exercise.

1\) In the learner's view, find the question component and select 'Staff Debug Info '

2\) Enter the user's name and select "delete learner's state ''

## Reset the number of times a learner can try an exercise to 0.

1\) In the learner's view, find the question component and select 'Staff Debug Info '

2\) Enter the user's name and select "Reset Learner Tests".

## Reset all learners' attempts for an exercise

1\) In the learner's view, find the question component and select '**Staff Debug Info**'

2\) Copy the location ID:

3\) Go to the Instructor Dashboard

4\) Select 'Student Admin'

5\) Under 'Adjust all enrolled learners' grade for a specific problem' paste the location ID of the desired exercise component and select 'Reset Attempts to Zero'.
